About Our Tribe

Chief Joseph Standing Bear

Let me introduce myself, my name is Joseph Standing Bear and I'm a Mescalero Apache the Chief of the United Native American Indians of Texas Tribe.

I first started the Four Winds Apache Band of Texas Tribe and in 2006 I became the Chief of the Texas Lumbee Indian Tribe and  we changing our Tribal name to United Native American Indians of Texas Tribe.

Our main purpose and goal is to bring people together.  To teach the Native American culture, its customs, and the traditions of our people to the next generation, our children.  It is very important for us to pass on Our Culture, Customs, and Traditions, so that our way will not be forgotten.

We welcome all nations and tribes and we include those who have no Native Indian Heritage but who want to learn.

Currently, Our Tribe has 1500 Members.
